Busy bags are a toddler parent’s best friend. They do just as their name suggests: keep kids busy!
Busy bags are engaging activities that utilize simple materials like printables, pom poms or craft sticks that are stored in a ziplock bag or plastic pouch.
They are perfect for keeping toddlers/preschoolers engaged in quiet time activities whether you’re at home or out and about.
Bonus: they make a great alternative to screen time!
Today I have 5 Busy Bag printables that you can download for free. Just use the box at the end of this post to have it delivered straight to your inbox.
Note: I would recommend that you laminate the sheets once you’ve printed them out. This ensures that your child can play with the activities over and over again.
You can get laminating sheets or even get a laminator if you frequently use printables for your kids (in case you’re wondering, this is the laminating machine homeschooling moms swear by!)
As for the printables that have cutouts, use hook and loop dots to secure the pieces in place. You can find some cheap ones here that are also really good quality.
Lastly, use activity bags to store the sheets so they’re ready to grab and take along. These water resistant zip bags are the perfect size for storing activity sheets and taking along.
My toddler loves these activities and I’m sure yours will too!
Also, if you’re looking to keep your toddler busy then nothing is more appropriate than a Busy Book. The Sweetnsour Busy Book has been designed to not just keep your toddler highly engaged and busy but to also learn critical skills while having tons of fun.
Toddlers get to match, sort and trace away as they develop their gross motor skills, fine motor skills and critical thinking skills.
